Great game

Excellent puzzles, graphics, and atmosphere. The only issue is the length; the game really is too short. Keep in mind that tutorial levels shouldn't count towards the game's length.

I read past reviews, and I don't mean to be overly harsh on you, but this was a very poorly programmed game.

You die when you touch the left side of the screen. You said this was because you didn't want Mario to fall off the stage. Why didn't you just put a simple if statement in his moving code to prevent him from moving left once _x is less than 0?

For the stages that are in this game, the movement is unacceptable. You jump, fall, and move to slowly to successfully evade enemies. You could argue that it was made that way to make the game more challenging, but it really just made the game annoying and unplayable.

There is a bug on the dark level with those black fuzzball things. You can kill the first one, but the other two are invulnerable. Furthermore, when you jump on the second one, the first one respawns. Don't say it was a twist in the game, it was just sloppy coding.

And last, you did not add any Game Over code. Once you die with 0 lives, your lives go into negative numbers and you can keep on playing. Either you didn't test your code out or you were just lazy.

Anyway, I'm sure you worked hard on this game and are satisfied with the result, but this game is just horrible. Better luck next time.

[Programming Tutorial]

You assume that everybody reading this has Visual Basic 6.0 and Visual C++. You don't provide links to buy these programs, nor cheap alternatives (for C++). Actually, you don't even say what C++ compiler you are using. You don't explain what each line of code does, like a good tutorial should, and you didn't provide an option to turn off the music. Not that you didn't try hard, I'm sure you did, but please try to make a better quality tutorial next time.

That is the best game in flash that I have ever seen. It played just like it was on the GBA, especialy at the menu. Mark my words, this will be on the front page.
